The Annual MACCA Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Misty Creek Country Club in Sarasota. With 79 golfers and 23 sponsors, this year’s tournament was another fantastic success! Players were put to the test and their skills were challenged on this par-72 course. For the third year in a row, 1st Place trophies were awarded to the team from Badger Bob’s Appliance & A/C (left), while 2nd Place went to the team from Victor Distributing. In addition to the traditional contest prizes, raffle prizes were abundant with more than $3,000 worth of prizes given away.

The new addition for 2011: a Golfer’s Poker Run. Golfers were rewarded for their skills on the course by gaining a card when they landed on the green on each par-3 hole at tee off. The winner of the $100 Visa gift card provided by Trane HVAC Parts & Supplies was Nate Ritter of Cortez Heating & Air with two pairs. A returning favorite was the bottle height guess courtesy of Victor Distributing. The best guess was made by Paul Lavallee of Aqua Plumbing & Air. Other contest winners for the day included: Putting (almost won) - Dan Williams of Aqua Plumbing & Air, Longest Drive (sponsored by Goodman Distributing) - Pete Francioci of Cool Today, Closest to Pin - John Taylor of Lutgert Insurance and the Guess Your Distance (sponsored by Lykes Insurance) - Bob Burg of Badger Bob’s Appliance & AC....with a perfect guess!

As always, MACCA would like to extend a huge “THANK YOU!” to our planning committee, volunteers and sponsors - we couldn’t have done it without you!
