MACCA would like to share an exciting endeavor the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange has been working on with the Sarasota School Board to help alleviate the workforce issues which have been plaguing the local construction industry for years, including the HVAC industry.
Through their combined efforts, Riverview High School will launch a Construction Technology Program in August at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. This program will utilize hands-on experiences in the construction and trade industry alongside NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) curriculum to meet industry standards. Students will come out of the program with industry recognize credentials, with the emphasis on students getting meaningful internships, apprenticeships, and jobs here locally; therefore, helping to support the HVAC industry’s need for talented and trained employees.
To reach their goal of $100,000 to help build the classroom and get the needed materials for the course. The GCBX has reached out to MACCA for our support so collectively, we can make a greater difference!
If you would like to make a donation, to help support this program please fill out the form to the right to donate via credit card or make your check out to MACCA, 1532 US Highway 41 Bypass #144, Venice, FL 34293-1032 and we will make one collective donation at the end of July.
